Fun personal facts: In high school I did not begin running cross country or track and field distance races till my senior year. During my senior year I qualified for states for both bowling and cross country which were held on the same day on different islands. I chose to go to the bowling state championship since I was still new to running. A year later I found myself attending HPU and competing in cross country. My college teammates would often joke how I chose bowling over cross country. During my first year of collegiate running, I had my worst race during regionals where I came in fourth to last. One of the best things about coming close to last is there is plenty room for improvement.
